Seems like a decent price for 3080 prebuilt.

I've had a similar Alienware for over a year with no issues. I've gotten great performance for gaming and low CPU temps. These Youtubers telling you to stay away from this brand are computer enthusiasts with no budget because their subscribers are funding their purchases for them. If you want a high end prebuilt PC for a good price this is a solid deal.

I see you have no clue what you are talking about when it comes to GN. Companies have met with him to try to fix problems in the past. He's not a dude in a bedroom with 140 subs.

I have an Alienware computer for the past 5 computer and it always has over heating issues. Bad air circulation and it keeps thirmal throttling when I try to livestream. I have an GTX1080TI with an I7-8700k. Not OC. I tried to over clock a little, but it just made the system crash. I upgraded the fans to help keep the Temps down, but now I get a warning every time I start the computer. It doesn't like that I replaced the stock fans.
Also please not that MOBO, and PSU are proprietary and can't be put in other cases.
Did you repaste it? I have the same one, no fan change, just repasted the GPU wayching a youtube video (Yeh big time Nube here, it took loke 20min), the temps dropped close to 30 degrees. Overclocked cpu and gpu and undervolted, and never had any overheating issues. I did have the overheating issues before repasting it.

Always when you get a prebuild (or sometimes just anything that you want most performance from) check google or reddit or youtube for mods, they usually make a huge difference, stupid dell uses the cheapest thermal paste there is, and doesn't even paste it well. The fans are also loud when i put it above 75% but i wear noise cancelling headphones. I might have change the AIO for the CPU but that hasn't been an issue either. Again i am not tech savy, never built a pc before (i know i should but i didnt have the time and motivation yet abd score good on prebuilt deals), and thus was my first desktop after about 15 years of laptoping.

Anyways, enough rambling, just can't wait to see the 4090 prebuilts come out later this year

If you're budget conscious you really should avoid this machine you're going to have to replace altogether in favor of something you can upgrade later on, sell your old parts, and defray the cost. I bought my first and last prebuilt due to parts and when I wanted to replace the GPU/PSU it was a mess of a situation.

Solid price for a prebuilt. I've had 3 previous alienwares with high end graphics cards. They are heat machines for sure, but performance has been great. Complaints about thermal and upgrades are overblown. I've upgraded graphics card and psu in my Alienwares without issue. If you're buying a prebuilt, it's likely because you don't want to have to build one yourself and in that case, this is a solid deal.
EXACTLY

thank you

Do your research on these alien ware computers. Many reviews say these round computers are a waste of money and dont perform well. Non standard parts
Bad air flow, cpu down clocking etc. Not saying this one will be as well but the case definitely as no air flow .

I have an alienware with same specs but non TI and it has it over clocked and running cool with the aio. Did you try repasting thermal compound on the processor? I put artic silver or mx something…. I think the 1080ti is also exhausting some heat inside the case too.

Not considering the thermal issues with case, you can probably build a comparable build for around the same price. You can find a deal on a 3080 currently for around $800 and you can find cpu aroung $300. That leaves roughly $500 for case, cooler, mobo ram and storage.
Good luck putting a full length card in as a replacement as well...

How does this compare: https://www.microcenter.com/produ...toreID=181

Is the R13 liquid cooling better than the R10?

$500 for the rest isn't that much. A great mainboard alone is like $200 already

I'd stay away from Alienware prebuilts. Every one of them comes with a proprietary motherboard. If you decided to one day upgrade your case you'd have to get a new motherboard too. There's honestly no reason to not build your own PC now that prices on GPUs have gone down. Just watch some YouTube videos about building a PC and you'll be fine.

100% Agree with Cowboyjlove. Unfortunately, the Alienware Aurora R10 Chassis are terribly built for thermal management. This means the CPU and GPU will throttle because the case gets too hot. You're going to end up with 80% of the performance of these parts because Dell/Alienware didn't bother to provide proper airflow. I would watch the GamersNexus Youtube video which you can find via the link Cowboyjlove provided.

I have nothing against Pre-builds, they can be a great option for folks who want warranties, easy returns and a fully assembled PC out of the box. In this case however, I would recommend against buying the Alienware. Prices will continue to go down and you are better off getting a similarly specced build from Lenovo or any other PC maker frankly.

I have nothing against Alienware either. This is just a badly designed case with weird proprietary parts that will make swapping components or even canniballizing the parts very difficult.

Not a fanboy and don't have a grudge. Take it from a PC building enthusiast, there are much better options at similar prices out there.
