Point taken. I'm not going to do food deliveries with my e-bike.

Nor am I going to use a POS lock. Nor am I going anywhere near NYC.
And, as the comments say, the better story would have been about the food delivery worker who was stabbed, not about his ebike that was stolen.

There is no support from GEN3. I bought a Groove bike, and received it after 10 days on 7/7.
Assemble the bike was easy.. I connect the plug at the handle bar and charged the battery full. Turn the key on, it was not on.
Called support and left messages, and was told it would take 1-2 days to get the response. Then I opened a ticket on GEN3 supports website.
After a week, I receive NO phone call back, and "no progress" on the ticket on their website.
Does anyone have any luck with GEN3 support?

That is disturbing to hear but you should be fine. Thay have not supplied you with a functioning product and are not getting back to you, credit card companies take that serious. Do start documenting all your efforts to contact them and the lack of response. Dates time all that kind of stuff. Have copies of their terms and warranty. I'd say you have had patience enough already and a call now to your CC company is not out of order. Who knows maybe it will spur you getting some support. Holds on funds have a way of getting somebody's attention. Keep us updated, there are quite a few here that are in this for good or bad and I'm sure all would like to hear how it plays out for you.

I found a ticket was the best route, I feel pretty confident they will get back with you. One thing that might help in the meantime though…the key is only used for taking the battery out of the bike. You may actually be releasing the battery when you turn the key. Try to snap in the battery then hold the M button for a couple of seconds to turn it on. Hope that helps.

Yes, I did. At the time it took about 5 days then two people responded with an hour from each other via email. I think this sale has just overloaded their staff. Yet the sale continues. They like the extra business, but they need to bring in some extra help.

Got this bike lock last week from Walmart, its on sale. And IMO is very stout, looks rather tough to break through. For < $25, cant complain. And comes with loop cable too.

Depending on where you're locking it, that lock may be good enough. Slickdeal discussion about it here: https://slickdeals.net/f/15769453-kryptonite-14-mm-u-lock-bicycle-lock-w-looped-bike-security-cable-level-5-22-90-free-shipping-w-walmart-or-on-35

How are people "trying" to contact GEN3??

I tried to log in and am told my password credentials are invalid.

I tried to request a new password and no response.

Is there an email address and or phone number to try?

Thank you in advance.

UPDATE

I did finally find an email AND login but had to log in via their order confirmation as the website wouldn't allow me to.

Now, I still need a phone number.

Thank you all again.

Thanks that make me relax a bit more. I'm thinking and hoping your theory is right but did know going in that there is some risk when dealing with smaller companies. I'm counting on the bike to be generally good to go and will make any adjustments if need be myself. Everybody is so used to the Amazon type service that it can be shocking to not gat an immediate response. It is a good chunk of money, and I can understand the unease but do think too much speculation has gone on when we do not know how it all is going to turn out long term.

If you're really concerned, you can get the exact same ebike on Amazon for $1100.

I ordered two Gen3 bikes. One Groove and one Stride. Everything is fine on the Groove. Stride's battery on the other hand refuses to charge. I will file a ticket with Gen3. Anyone else experience anything like this?

Got the Wallke F1 today. Behind a large sticker on the frame I can barely see another name for the bike and it is GEN3.

if you guys think that your $20 lock will stop a thief with a bolt cutter from stealing your $1000 bike then you are delusional.
