As you said, it's been this offer several times and it might not be considered a great deal anymore. That said, thanks for posting the deal. I appreciate and thank you for the time and effort you took.
Tough to say. Sometimes it takes time. Right now, with people returning to the office, large monitors aren't as in demand. And even if they need monitors for WFH, they may not need a gaming one, so pricing for a 27" would be closer to $150-$200 per monitor. With inflation, other financial issues, people have less money for discretionary purchases. Thanks for posting.
I like it very much for $300 but it's definitely not worth more than that. Shipping from Dell is terrible. They won't double box it, and the box is not really sturdy, so expect some rip or gouges.

Is this a good monitor if you don't game at all? I'm in the market for a dual 27 inch monitor in 1440p strictly for working in Microsoft office/Google apps. I also consume a lot of content on Youtube/Netflix. Seems like most deals are for ones that are for gamers (high refresh rate). Wondering if I could get a cheaper monitor with similar specs but no high refresh rate (which I don't need).
Yes! Great for productivity, clear and crisp text, and works well with my mbp.

Ideally for content I'd lean towards a 4k monitor. I've used an LG 27" 4k for years and it's been perfect.

I would also recommend an ultrawide monitor. They're excellent for content/work and look amazing.

They're also similar priced.

This monitor can't downscale 4k to 1440p like other monitors out there. Just a heads up for PS5 users.

Was looking for this info, thank you

No problem! I was about to buy it too before I did some research haha. I went with the LG GL850. A little cheaper, same panel but has worse build quality, but most importantly it can downscale 4k and also play 1080 @ 120hz over HDMI

vs 34" HP X34 UWQHD HDR AMD FreeSync 165Hz IPS Gaming Monitor

Which one is the better monitor? Why does this Dell monitor have the higher deal score if the HP is IPS, 7" larger and same hz.

I have this monitor and been using for over a month now. When comparing this with imac 5k 27inch - next to each other I find better contrast and vibrance on this monitor. Is it just me or anyone have similar experience?
Also, I am interested in adding 2nd 27inch monitor and considering Asus ProArt 27inch 4k monitor for photo video editing and also for office work.

My application is web browsing - specifically doing a lot of reading. No gaming or heavy graphics.

I want two buy 2 monitors that mirror each other and show the same exact image. This will upgrade my 2209WA (1680 x 1050).

My 2014 PC has only 1 HDMI port.

(1) Will using this Orei splitter (amazon link) [amazon.com] reduce image quality for reading web pages?

(2) Without USB-C, is this future proof? If I get a Mac Mini (HDMI, USB-C), will using USB-C to Displayport reduce quality?

Thank you!

If you only have 1 HDMI port, that splitter is just going to display the same thing on 2 different monitors not be 2 separate spaces. Is this future proof? HDMI isn't going anywhere any time soon. There are plenty of usb-c dongles that can convert to 2 4k@60hz HDMI or DisplayPort plugs if needed (I run one daily and have for 3+ years). Mac Mini comes with an HDMI and thunderbolt. If you want to dual screen, either thunderbolt --> HDMI for one monitor and use the built-in HDMI for the other, or run a similar dongle like i mentioned above. No reduced quality, per se, especially for web browsing.

You can downscale 4K on this monitor using an EDID emulator but you lose HDCP (so most streaming video apps won't work).

It's nice to come with 3 years Advanced Exchange Service.

Should I replace the S2716DG I got in 2017?

Really depends on a lot of factors. Given the specs don't think you will gain much. Gave up my beloved S2719DGF only for the ridiculously priced 42" LG Oled TV.

Snagged two of these with the AMEX $120 offer. $480 + tax is a steal

Thanks. One thing that I have to bear with for all those years is that the color on S2716DG is off. I have a Dell 27 inch PremierColor next to it and the difference in color accuracy is obvious. I wonder if the S2721DGF from a more recent year can do better than the S2716DG from 2017.
