Sam's Club [samsclub.com] has the Fellow Stagg EKG Pour-Over Kettle for $120.
Colors: Black, White, Stainless Steel
Original price: $165

I've been looking for a deal on this for a while now. This is the lowest I've seen since the $100 Costco deal. This is not available in-store (in California at least), so you can't make use of the $45 membership deals (link below just in case).

Here is a link Sams club membership deal in case anyone is interested https://slickdeals.net/f/15783133-join-sam-s-club-for-45-get-45-off-first-in-store-purchase

There is a $25 with $10 GC membership deal but that + $5 shipping will push the cost to $140 which is about what you could have got this directly from Fellow during their memorial day sale. One word: precision. It has precise temperature control which is needed to brew different types of coffee. And the gooseneck on this is one of the best for pour over coffee.

The other electric gooseneck kettle folks recommend which is not as expensive as this is the Bonavita gooseneck kettle but they've bumped up its price to $130 as of now
Bonavita 1.0L Variable Temperature Electric Kettle, 1.0 Liters, Metallic https://a.co/d/iSiZWnE

Oh and the price of Stagg electric kettle otherwise is $165.

Have a Fellow EKG now. Just use an AeroPress. Don't need the gooseneck style. Wish it had more capacity for other uses - faster boiling for cooking (for example)

Can you recommend a good kettle with more capacity that is also good at temperature control?

Do you really need temperature control for cooking? I'd assume you just need to be able to boil water. And if it's for cooking, you'll need bigger capacity which means boiling more water will take longer. So stove top kettle's might not be the best. Electric kettle would be better. For boiling water, any cheap electric water kettle would do. But if you do want to splurge a little, then Fellow Corovo might be nice. But again, it's got the same capacity as Stagg. I don't think there is a kettle which would check all the boxes.

No, but I just want one universal kettle for both coffee and cooking. I looked at that Corvo but yeah, low capacity. If I were just making coffee, I wouldn't fill it up all the way, but I think it would be nice to at least have 1.5liter kettle. Whereas the Stagg really only holds about .8 liters.

I've had good luck with the cuisinart temp-adjust electric kettle. Found it on here awhile back with deep discount, so price is ymmv, but it has held up well for several years.

This seems like a pretty solid price. I've gone down the kettle hole and there seems to be just so many bad products out there. Rusting seems to be the main issue with most of the cheaper ones, but they all seem to have their issues. I'm open to other suggestions as well, but would like to buy something that will last.
