Handily beats the Walmart FP couple days ago. However, only the biggest set gets such deep discount. Any smaller sets and the individual pairs are still well over 1.5/lb.

Is this good to use on tile or any floor? Or do you still need to install gym flooring?

Depends on how much you are dropping, I have a handful of these but mostly rogue plates and They all do fine on cement floor at least

Look up tutorials on how to make a DIY lifting platform out of 4x8 plywood

Though nowadays the plywood may be more expensive than the weights...

You can still use these for a bench too, right? Never used bumpers before, but I'm in the market for an Olympic set and the Costco deal last month wasn't available in my area.

Yes - they can be used for bench and any other barbell-related movement. The main difference between these and the Olympic set from Costco is that the Costco deal was rubber-coated plates instead of bumper. These bumpers offer the lifter much more variety as they can be dropped, which shouldn't be performed with a rubber-coated plate. I picked up the costco deal and have been happy with the plates and bar, but also ordered this setup to get more into Olympic lifts.

I know I'm late I didn't see the question but the rogue plates have been getting abused in my garage gym for years and look new, these ones seem to be holding up but we haven't had them as long, I don't have any real complaints though. I run what I guess you could call a lifting club out of my garage gym so there are roughly 15ish people in and out of there using the equipment so they definitely get more of a beating than an average garage gym too so I'm pretty confident these should hold up well at least for normal use longer term.

Received my plates today and they shipped the colored versions, which are far more expensive and quite high quality. Needless to say I am very pleased with the deal.

edit: Plus I was able to get Amazon to refund the price difference.
