I figured out a way to force the instant tradein credit.

Buy used Google OnHub router from here for $25 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013ALA9LA/

Trade it in and you will get instant credit of 25%.

Great deal!! Just ordered the 6e 3pk version for $224.25. Can not beat that. The netgear equivalent is close to $900.
For reference, 6e gives 6ghz support. If there are many wifi systems in your area, this reduces the bottleneck and cutout of wifi

Would anyone know how good this mesh is with plaster walls? I live in an older home and my Orbi RBK43 has done well but I cannot stand the constant lag spikes I get while gaming. I wonder if this would be any better.

That seems to be the way it works but some posters are stating they received the discount without having their trade-in approved.

I'm not trying to game the system but it would be easier to receive the new devices and set it up before sending in my current active mesh system.

I haven't sent in my device yet and they gave me the discount, it might be YMMV, but a friend of mine was able to replicate. I trade a single 1st Gen Google Wifi while he traded a single Samsung Smartthings Wifi.

It seems to be completely random if Amazon will give you the discount before or after sending in the router. In the past I received the discount before sending in my router. This time it is requiring me to send in my router first before the 25% discount will apply.

It is only instant for an eero trade-in. I tried trading in a different unit and did not get the discount. The instant rebate didnt show up when I did the eero after I had submitted my other router. I had to cancel both and just submit the older eero.

Was able to get the eero pro 6e for 227 after check out. Not sure if I need the three units, but I figure I'll be able to sell off the third if I realize it's too much for the space I use.
