Walmart has the frequently regarded "best ultra cheap fishing kayak" Lifetime Tamarack Pro listed online at $428. In stores in my area, it's often $410. BUT, if you scan the barcode in the Walmart app, it shows up as $375. The store was happy to honor that price as it's sold and shipped by Walmart.com, even though the app actually says it's out of stock.

(The Walmart app has unreliable inventory stats, especially for large items like kayaks. Your best bet is to visit actual stores to see what's in inventory. Kayaks are usually in sporting goods inside the store, OR by the garden department outside.)

Of note, the predecessor Tamarack (without the "Pro") shows up as $329 in the app. The Pelican Motion 100X Fishing Kayak shows up as $288 in the app. Both of those prices are significantly below what was posted at local stores.

With post-COVID and mega-inflation prices, that's probably the best price running. (Just a couple of years ago, the Pro was selling for about $350.)

It's a YMMV deal as you might have problems getting the store to honor the price.

Can't seem to be able to check stock anywhere near me. Any SKU for Brickseek?

Any ship to store option adds $100.

Brickseek and the Walmart app were both very wrong on in-store inventory. I agree the $100 shipping destroys the deal. I'd suggest visiting or calling stores.

The SKU is the last & numerical portion of the OP's link. You can also obtain the SKU from a Walmart URL, where it is usually found shortly after ".com/".

Hope this helps!

I own two of the Lifetime Tamarack Angler version kayaks (on a $200 each deal last Christmas time). Been very happy with the kayaks so far, lots of fun and good on the water.

Like these "sit on top" variety for fishing and also can swim and more easily get back on the kayak. This Pro version has some nice features such as the adjustable foot stops.

One of our paddles snapped though, they are a weak point, consider getting an upgraded paddle.

Got one.

Found a store ~1.5 hours away with one, called to make sure they actually had them, (I know, I know, but I wasn't gonna waste the drive without calling first) and picked it up. App price for that store was 410, but I got the manager to knock 50 off because of scratches.

They also had some ammo that I've been looking for for months in stock on the shelf so the trip was a good one.

Pm me your Venmo and I'll send you a little something!

I went to a nearby walmart super center. They seemed to just get a few. They didn't want to match online price. But, they suggested that I order online for pickup. That worked better for me since I get cash backs doing online order.

Still haven't had a chance to drop mine in the water, but one thing that was a little concerning... while it was strapped to the top of my car upside down, it took on water. When I unloaded it 2 days later I could hear it sloshing around inside.

I haven't really had a chance to dig deeper, but how the heck could water get in while it was upside down??

Had the same thing happen to mine when I picked it up last winter. These things can sit outside waiting to sell and water finds it's way in. I had a small plug on the front on my lifetime that you can pull to drain out the water. You can also open the storage hatches and let it evaporate or use a towel or sponge to remove.
