Does anyone happen to know if the ryobi branded bits are less prone to falling out of a ryobi impact driver versus non-ryobi branded bits?

I feel you, at $10 + the fact that I am going to Home Depot today for some other stuff makes this very tempting. But I absolutely do not need it.

For those who are about to complain about the quality of Ryobi bits, I have had my set for a few years now, and granted, I only use them for the weekend project every now and then (about once or twice a month), I have had zero issues with them.

The bits that came with my Ryobi impact wrench stripped very quickly. No issues with the DeWalt set I use now.

I've used Ryobi bits in my Ryobi impact. And the T20 started shearing after 20 screws. Idk I don't have much faith but I have a bunch I got through clearance so don't care if they break.

I'd say 50/50 reliability.
