For those that bought these on sale last time, how was the condition? Did they come in the box sealed? Asking because the blink xt2 cameras on the woot sales look almost new when they come in used condition. Thanks in advance!!

Actually I received pretty decent 1080p stick with voice remote with TV on/off and volume controls. I guess Woot don't what know they have and use lowest denominator in description.

I cannot recommend this product, even if it was free. It is a great product for its time and still usable, but the functionality of the newer Fire TV sticks is just night and day faster and more responsive. I'd almost say that the audio sounds better on my system, but that is probably just me hearing things.

There is also the issue that it is an outdated OS -- it won't be able to run apps that require newer versions of android. I don't mean gaming apps, but streaming apps. There is a cut-off when they won't work and at six years, that is coming up soonish.

Saving a few dollars on things that one watches or listens to frequently is never a good investment. I'd only recommend this for an infrequently used device -- something in a guest bedroom perhaps, but even then....

Wait for Prime Day and get one of the newer models.

I bought one last time around and compared to a newer one, these are extremely slow to react. Ultimately wound up throwing it away.

I've got a 2017 Fire TV box with this exact same 1st generation remote. The play button on my original remote is getting wonky. Since this deal is about a third of the price of a compatible aftermarket remote, I'll order it. Just wondering if I pay thru my Amazon account, will I have the same no hassle return policy or will I still be subject to Woot's somewhat more restrictive return lingo?
