Great looking watch but the movement inside is subpar for the price. This Miyota movement doesn't hack and most likely will need to be regulated when you start wearing it. Watch looks cool but also do understand that the watch is 45mm. That is huge. For comparison, the rolex submariner is now 41mm and used to be 40mm. It is also a mineral crystal so expect this watch to get scratches on it. As for the price, I think this is given or take a reasonable amount to pay for this watch. Check out the orient kamasu if you want a watch that wears better and comes with a stainless steel bracelet as well as a sapphire crystal.

Great info here. I'd just like to add that a lot of dive (or water focused) watches have mineral crystal instead of sapphire because mineral crystal is harder to shatter. So when you're swimming and you bang it on coral or something watery it won't smash. Sapphire is better at scratch resistant. Having said all that this watch wears large. Some Japanese watches 43mm+ wear "smaller" because of the short lug to lug. The Marine Star does not

Anyone has experience with these? How's the movement? I thought for a second it's blue leather strap.

I had a marine star that stopped working consistently after 2-3 years and the repair cost didn't make sense. To be fair I did abuse it and keep it bouncing around in a cargo pocket for hours a day for a month and a half.

I really like the marine star I own by bulova. It's actually quite accurate and the strap is very comfortable. Reasonable price too. Walmart might have some for cheaper.

I've had mine a few years. I scratched the crystal the first time I wore it on a door handle. Really wish it had a sapphire. Cool you can see the pallet fork going. My phone says it's -4s a day, after these years. So seems in spec. Doesn't hack.

Great look if you're going for the D list rapper look.
Just add the obligatory diamond chips around the edges.

Gets a few points though for it being automatic.

Nice looking watch. Bulovas are made by Citizen so they are quality made. The movement is an 8000 series Miyota. Rotor is loud and it doesn't hack.

My go to recommendation for a great inexpensive dive watch is the SteelDive SD1970 Capt. Willard homage. Under $100 gets you 200m WR, Seiko NH35 movement, Sapphire, Ceramic Bezel. Great looking and wearing turtle case.
