ITT: Half the people don't know what they are talking about.
Costco's Onkyo 6100/6050 is better than this cheap Denon, it has HDMI 2.1 on all input and Dual HDMI Out, the Yamaha TSR-700/V6A has a better dac/amp but lacking features.
This isn't the InCommand/X line. The S960H refurbed from Accessories4Less is better value than this at $499.99.
The only thing this S760's "better" is the 1-year longer warranty vs the Onkyo/Yamaha, Costco has "lifetime" return policy on receivers though, so it doesn't really matter.
And like someone mentioned Onkyo's "bankrupted" but Voxx/Sharp is still developing/servicing products for them. Educate yourselves before spewing disinformation please.

I've had issues of every onkyo I've had in the past prematurely dying. I've avoided them ever since, the build quality was subpar unless things have changed in the last 6 years or so. What are the significant differences between the S760H and S960H?

Higher W per channel, 2 HDMI Out (granted not everybody needs this)
I guess for $75 and a brand new receiver and being not refurbed with Costco's "lifetime return", the S760H might have an edge here. A better choice would probably be a refurb 2700 for $650, but then you're creeping up in price now.
That's how I ended up with a DRX-3.4 but at least now I'm able to do 5.2.4

I have the Denon as well and have zero complaints unlike the Yamaha I had returned. Just curious.
