Looks proprietary, that will be a task if so. Likely a proprietary motherboard as well, so replacing both the PSU, case (to accommodate an ATX PSU), or motherboard will all be a problem unless you replace them all.

I'm usually a Dell guy but went with HP Envy TE02. It's cheaper then the omen if you want intel 12th gen, uses standard atx parts and cheap ddr4 so you can add memory on your own inexpensively.

Hopefully Dell doesn't cancel your order because they can't correctly manage their sales like with that Alienware laptop.

the coupon is glitchy. you might have to chat with dell.

i just applied it right now. see screen shot.

if you use the link from the other technology bargain deals website which i'm sure i'm not allowed to post a direct link, then that works.

Thanks for the updated link. I'm able to customize now too (upgrade PSU and other items) and apply 100OFF1499.

still not pulling the trigger though. the difference between a k vs non-k processor is $200 which is higher than it was 6 months ago .

These proprietary PSUs are a pita. Back in the el cheapo glory days you could get a used optiplex 9010 i73770/16gb for $80, swap out the psu and add a 1070 or rx570 for really cheap.

Recently moved my CPU and memory from a Dell XPS 8910 into a new case, added power supply and now it's a nice computer in a better chassis (Cooler Master N400) with a good power supply (700 watt 80 plus bronze). Not 80 plus gold, but better than what the Dell came with!

I don't think I'll buy another Dell desktop due to the proprietary parts, front panel connector, substandard power supplies, etc.

This is the configuration I changed to get the 100OFF1499 code mainly to improve the PSU. I also haven't decided yet if I want to pull the trigger although the other cash back websites help bring the cost down quite a bit.

do no buy, it is a hot box... flawed design you will need to add watercooler or risk running 100C when gaming
