20% off plus an extra 10% off Factory Reconditioned Items Friday, 7/1-Monday, 7/4

This came in an email flier. They had an in store only, 50% off sale this past week so most of the in store stock will be very limited but here's a chance to buy online for the 4th sale.

Fine print from email states:
"4th of July sale Sale offer valid 7/1/22 – 7/4/22 at 11:59 PM EST. Save 30% off original retail price on factory reconditioned tools. Save 20% on all other eligible items. Items designated with "final price" are ineligible for promotion. Offer valid in-store and online. While supplies last. Limit of 5 like items per customer Cannot be combined with any other discount or offer. Exclusions apply. Not valid on previous purchases. Call local store for availability. In-store and online inventory may vary.

Floorcare closeout offer valid for a limited time only. While supplies last. Offer valid in-store and online. Valid on select Hoover and Dirt Devil products. Limit of 5 like items per customer. Cannot be combined with any other discount or offer. Exclusions apply. Not valid on previous purchases. Call local store for availability. In store inventory may vary from online inventory."

Tools Direct 4th of July Sale
Tools Direct and Direct Tools are different companies.

The first is a mostly eBay store that sells refurbs of many different brands. The second is a retail/online discount outlet store owned and operated by TTI, the same company that makes the Ryobi and Ridgid tools that are sold there.

Edit: This post was in response to the deal title of a post that was merged with this deal. That title was removed so this post is no longer really applicable.

From my experience they will likely cancel it soon and refund you without any notice. Or maybe not. Good luck.

I bought 1 leaf blower and 3 weed eaters. You can call it my luck, but they were all duds.

1x Weed Eater was Broken out of the box, sent to HD for repair, they fixed one issue and left out another.

The other two were leaking gas from the Carburetor.

Leaf Blower never worked good.

Returned all back in early June, still waiting for a refund. Wait on IVR is 100+ mins. They take call back # but don't call you back.

There was 50% off in store this week. Last year, they have the 30% off and free shipping.

50% off of what? It seems like everyone has their own 'List price,' but there is now the 'Blemished' price by the actual owner/manufacture (1) of Ryobi and Ridgid electric tools to circumvent any imposed minimum price on other dealers besides and perhaps Home Depot.

Today, does anyone besides DTO and HD even sell Ryobi tools? No box store around me does.

Nevertheless, I am sure there is a relevant deal in there someplace for someone.

===========
(1) Under a Ryobi and Emerson license, Techtronic Industries [wikipedia.org] (TTI) owns Ryobi and Ridgid electric tools and lawn products, while also owning Direct Tools Outlet that is in direct competition with every other Ryobi and Ridgid electric tool dealer/distributor... that today, mostly leaves just Home Depot.

Since Techtronic Industries also owns Milwaukee electric tools, perhaps direct sales to the public are also in the future. TTI also owns Hart [harttools.com] tools sold by Walmart, that being a decent tool, are increasingly popular with the homeowner for the easy returns... most anywhere.

I dont have an issue with a company selling refurb. I don't know if they check the refurbs before shipping and Customer Service is good when you get hands on the rep. But awful wait 120+ mins.
.
Customer service has been everyone's gripe when they needed them. I was surprised with the call back yesterday and with the increasing number of spam phone calls, I almost did not answer the S Carolina number.

With the prices of 'Blemished' from time to time, 'Refurbished' is going to have to get a lot cheaper to gain my interest. We received a refurbished sander several months ago with the free shipping deal that was a bit rough and obvious why it was returned. I don't think anyone checked it, but with a photo through email, was an easy pickup return that took about 3 weeks for the refund. You probably noticed the poor packaging with refurbished and can only imagine if a large and heavy item.

The other side of the coin is that they took back items that had gas in them. Even though we can drain and dry whatever, many cannot and a lot of places have a standard policy of no returns and take to a service center. I suppose being refurbished, they had gas in them before shipped to you, but were 'professionally' drained.... or not. Smilie

They may be changing some things up for the sale. I bought that blemished 2 gal sprayer with extra tank for $39.99 the other day. It came with 2 free blemished ryobi batteries. It's still on the site for $39.99 but the free battery offer is now gone.

Their own prices...

I bought a nail gun and saw from them in april during their 50% off sale. It's far cheaper than anywhere else barring a used from facebook or ebay.

Same here. I ordered 3 things and 2 of them arrived in the mail 3 weeks later. I checked my order online to see when my drill was arriving and the order status shows "Complete". I tried to call and there was a 3 hour wait time, but I was able to email to ask where it was. They said it was damaged so they were out of stock, but I could re-order if it came in stock within the next 30 days. No notification or anything. Feels like a bait & switch when I only bought the stuff because I was able to add the drill to sweeten the pot and make the shipping cost worth it.
