Just get the Bissell Pro Max that Vacuum Wars recommends — it cleans 10x better than any other. And believe me I've tried them all.

I followed the instructions. It got foamy in the discharge tank and started to get sucked into the vacuum before I shut it down. For Rug doctor make sure you get a "low foam" solution.
