For ease of operation you cannot beat American airlines even the app is better the website is better customer service better
With Southwest is unconditionally two free bags.
With American is one conditionally free bag.
The number of bags is not my concern as one bag is almost always sufficient for me but the fine print of the benefit shows that it's conditional.
From AA.com's web site:
"This benefit will not be available for travel on codeshare flights booked with an American Airlines flight number but operated by another airline."
So the cost could actually be $30/passenger's first bag for domestic travel.
