Do these come with the screw?
The NVME drives don't come with screws. Screws are provided by your motherboard manufacturer when you purchase the motherboard. The box will include screws and the M.2 screws are usually already attached to the motherboard.

If you need M.2 NVME screws, here's a link to m.2 screw kits on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=m.2+sc..._sb_noss_1

I have three of these.

First one in a PS4 that shows no real improvement over the stock drive. I even cleaned the unit when putting the new drive in but the fan now runs louder now than ever before.

Second one in a personal File Server as a data drive, mostly data retrieval, and it is bad (per their SSD Testing software) within a year. It is now read only w a lifetime of both personal data and PHI on it, so I cannot ship it back. I explained this to them but it appears I am out of luck unless I ship that drive, with all that readable data exposed, from the US to Taiwan. So, in reality, there is no warranty ...

The 3rd one I have not installed yet and, based on the other two, I'll just eat the cost on that one and chalk this purchase up to experience.

So, in short, you do get what you pay for. Personally, I'll be spending a few extra dollars (even for basic application) for name brand, reliable drives from now on.
The first thing I do after installing any hard drive is to encrypt it. You could use Bitlocker, VeraCrypt or Linux Unified Key setup (LUKS) on Linux (some examples). Then, run a SMART test on the drive or run other diagnostics/stress tests to ensure it doesn't die out from "infant mortality". If the drive is really bad quality, these stress tests should cause it to fail if it is a dud and poor quality.

After doing those tests I am reasonably confident it will last a while. Then I can use it for data and if the drive fails within the warranty, because the data is encrypted, I have no concerns sending it in for RMA/replacement. If they can decrypt my data, they can have it! Big Grin

Too old for PS5 right?
Not too old, too slow. You need 5500MB/s reads for ps5.

It's a fine drive, but only for data that isn't critical. I bought a Team Group drive that failed within 6 months, but to their credit, they replaced it under warranty.

I use it to hold my Steam library, which is easy to re-download if the new drive fails.
You should treat every drive like it will fail tomorrow, because every drive can.

For PS5 you need to get a PCIe Gen 4, and they recommend at least 5,500 MB/s. This is a Gen 3 and has reads of 1,800 MB/s. It is much too slow for the PS5, and it's the wrong tech.

Will this work in my hp laptop
It depends on the model of laptop. Old laptops woult not suport this interface and some new ones don't have open slots.

These cheap slower drives make excellent external drives in a USB 3.1 ver 2 case, which maxes out at 1000 Mbps. Cases can be purchased for $16.

But for internal use, I would opt for a faster drive. 2x faster can be bought for not much more.

Now if this were only 2TB for $120, that would be nice.

Sure, I back up everything. But having my boot drive fail is a much bigger hassle than having my Steam drive fail. So, I prefer to buy more expensive drives with 3-5 year warranties for the former, and I'll gamble with Newegg specials for the latter.

Steer clear from TeamGroup. Everything I bought from this company never lasted. RAM, SSDs, Micro SD cards &, etc.

Dunno for sure, I'm really not failiar with HP models.

Looks like those support a single M2.

If there is only one M2 drive and thats what your system has currently then you'd have to remove your current M2 to install this. But that model also seems to support SSDs so hard to tell whats in your unit
