Is this the same deal with that REI coupon they ran on May? Wanted to know if the price is the same R coupon or it's higher with this day?
I think this deal is better. I grabbed a bike rack in APR/MAY, and I saw that same bike rack will ship to your door (free shipping) and is $20 cheaper than what I paid.

Most recommend Thule cargo box, any experiences with both brands? Looking at the Thule Force

10-years with both brands.
I recommend Thule because of the locking mechanism being superior in simplicity. The Yakima has a plastic lever inside, which can break if you're not careful. Happened to me.
That said, both companies stand by their products and Thule recently replaced my box because of a latch issue.
My best advice is to get the biggest box that will fit your vehicle. Either brand will back their product, so go with the one you like best.

I went with Yakima ecosystem because of it being Made in USA. You can't go wrong with both brands and prices are comparable. I agree with the other user that said to get the biggest box you can carry for your main vehicle. I use a Skybox 16 on my WRX and it helps for extra cargo space on my wife's CX-5.

I'm looking at the Thule XT L. Think it can hold a good amount? Also I was thinking 3 carry on luggage can fit easily?
27,460 cu. in. is almost equivalent to 16 cu. ft., which is what the Skybox 16 is. I definitely hold a lot in there... 4-5 snowboards for winter trips OR 2 carry on luggages+2 35 L duffels+baby gear for weekend travels. I'm not sure exactly how the Thule is dimensioned; for example, whether it has more height than width compared to Yakima models. To answer your question, yes, 3 carry ons easily I'd expect.
