I own this monitor. Bought it back in the day for $329 + tax/recycling fees.

It's a great budget monitor. Color is very good. Features are good. Has built-in speakers. HDR is fine. It's lightweight with a good tilting stand.

The only "negative" is that it's not particularly bright. It's definitely not dim, but you're not going to be watching movies on it especially if you're the type that likes super vivid images or grew up on "torch mode". It'll look pretty good after calibration (though many people find a calibrated image dull for movie watching).

Do you use it unscaled. Wondering if 32'is large enough to use 4k unscaled

Every body will be different, try to think of 16" laptop display @ full HD and draw conclusion. Also consider the physic as you will be looking at the center of the screen most of the time, and the edges/corners will be further away than smaller screens.

From rtings.com

Wall Mount VESA 100x100

The back is plastic and plain. There's a removable clip on the stand that serves as basic cable management, and there's a quick-release feature to remove the stand if you want to VESA-mount it.

I'm fine with that resolution. 4k will make my fonts even smaller.

I don't have this particular monitor, but I do have two 32" 4K BenQ monitors that I use daily for work. I use them both at 100% (no scaling) sitting at a 30" deep desk. No issues for me, but YMMV.

It won't. I have used multiple LG monitors, including widescreens, with that stand design, and they've been perfectly fine.
