How do you get the audio off a piece of vinyl?
Well.. by crinkling it 😊

If you were talking about a vinyl record, you'd use a turntable with usb out.

Agree with previous comment for decent starter, AT LP 60. I started there but upgraded within a year.

Went to grab the RHCP, & my local target had Nathaniel Rateliff for $7.50, 1/3 MSRP. Yous wanna see good show, there's your guy.

I want to try the Vinyl world. Any recommendation on the player for this?
Not sure how much you want to spend but I would recommend the Denon DP-300F. I bought mine from turntablelab.com [https://www.turntablelab.com/prod...turntable]. They have an open box available for ~$349. Excellent quality turntable with a preamp built in. If you have a Sonos Play 5 this turntable plugs in to the speaker, but you will need to buy a $6 adapter [female RCA to 3.5 mm]. Turntablelab provides great customer service.

Very big difference. I bought the Beatles albums because a good shape first pressing is priced like a car. These won't give you better sound than a high quality digital source because they pressing is based on a digital file, instead of the old analog tapes they were recorded on. To get better sound with vinyl, you need as close to first pressing as possible, and really good equipment to play it on.
Thanks. Curious. I might give it a try
