In for 1!

Ive been looking for a more portable replacement to our propane firepit in a bag that we use when there are fire bans in the PNW, which is basically every summer.

Now I need the 5lb propane gas growler and case kit.

Why people bring a propane gas tank and a pit for a camp fire?

Isn't a firewood one more convenient as they can be purchased almost at any campsite?
Lots of fire restrictions, specially during summer.

Lots of places don't allow wood fires anymore...

In for one... BTW Fluz app has 12% cashback, up to $6 when you purchase a $50 REI gift card this weekend.

Dang - that's not that much different from the price of a 25lbs tank. Are 5lb tanks always that overpriced or has inflation impacted the price?

I bought 2 tanks from Costco about 5 years ago and remember paying $25.99.

They're always expensive... But that's a great price on one! I got one of these ones [rei.com] used like new for $40 on FB Marketplace and that's the cheapest used one I've ever seen by $30.

That price typically includes shipping. If you get it in store, i think i've recalled them being being between 26.99 as one mentioned and 30 dollars.

the small tanks are always extremely expensive. i think they are worth it if space is an issue when camping. i plan on getting one soon just because i like to make things as simple and as light as possible when camping.

You can buy refillable 5lb tank kits and diy refill them from a 20lb tank. I do this for my Mr Heater and it's payed for itself several times over.
