I believe this is an in-store reward, so you can't get this by placing a pickup order online.

It's not an in-store reward, you can see the amount of Walgreens rewards you'll earn when checking out online at the bottom of your cart. And once earned, Walgreen rewards can be redeemed online or in-store.

Go all the way to the final checkout screen, and you'll see that you will not earn this. Weekly ad clearly states that the Crest deal is for in-store rewards. Lots of people have been misled by in-store rewards that do get displayed in cart only to return orders lately.

Walgreens must've recently changed things up to differentiate Register Rewards from Walgreens Rewards. Just another addition to their various changes to make buying things there more difficult. Starting to spend down my WAGs balance and use up my Gift Card balances in case they start changing other policies.

Have updated OP to reflect in-store purchase only

Yea, there have been many posts about this. By the way, try not to assume that someone else's post is wrong and thumb down. I was only trying to help and make sure more people didn't end up in trouble.

if it's register rewards then yes, offer can only be bought in store and register reward issued can only be redeemed in store before the expiration date (usually 2 weeks later)

alot of things seems to to have changed or glitchy with Walgreens deals since Thursday so hard to know if new policy or glitch that needs to be fixed:

discussions here:

https://slickdeals.net/f/15875407-walgreens-2-garnier-hair-products-for-1-tax-after-savings-2-8-3-coupon-4-register-rewards-1-00?p=155966200#post155966200

I've got over $100 in Walgreens rewards on my acct and have done many of these "FAR" type deals over they years. Walgreens seems to be changing things up again.

Can you use Walgreens rewards and still get the register rewards?

I think the $5 off 3 coupon also optimizes the deal.
2 x $3 = $6, $6 - $2 ($2 off 2 coupon) = $4
3 x $3 = $9, $9 - $5 ($5 off 3 coupon) = $4
In both cases, your total before tax is $4 and you get $4 back in Rewards.
The other options leave you with a higher balance.
So, which one you pick will depend on how many tubes you need and whether you can use them all up before their expiration date. And, you can always share with neighbors.

Crest and Colgate offers at Walgreens come around once or twice a month. for me, whether I decide to buy 2 or 3 depends on whether its a register reward or W rewards or if I have other promos on the account like " spend $20 get $5 in rewards" or if I'm trying to get to $10 for online purchases

now that walgreens is starting to make more offers in-store only promos with register rewards, the deals become more complicated and evaluated on a case by case basis. plus I already have a box in the storage room of 28 tubes of toothpaste from earlier deals.

Anyone having issues getting their clipped coupons to apply at in store checkout? I see them clipped and they won't apply. Tried at two different stores...

28 tubes! I think you can stop buying toothpaste now... unless you are planning to build a toothpaste fort once you get enough boxes. Smilie

After Staples stopped their FAR printer paper deals, toothpaste deals from Walgreens are the new fort building blocks.

What a great idea! It's been so long since Staples had a FAR or $1 AR deal that I currently have gaps in my print paper fort that I can now fill with toothpaste boxes. Thanks for the laugh, it made my day. LMAO
