Planning on buying this for my niece in college. Any idea why this is 32 bit? Aren't most of software nowadays are 64 bits?
Guess it is a typo by Microsoft Store.

This was FP for $12 cheaper a couple of weeks ago. I ended up buying it after doing a ton of research. Very happy with it. Performs very well and surprisingly good for gaming due to the iris xe integrated video. Definitely recommend at this price!

I was going to pull the trigger for $637 last time, ending up with price going back to $1099.
Definitely not. M1 will have advantages with performance and efficiency (battery life), but this deal is good for touchscreen, price, and 16gb. I won't get into Windows vs. MacOS because that's preference.
Does the RAM onboard not allow for upgrades? How much RAM is "possible"?
Yes, the ram is not upgradeable, current max would be 16gb since it is soldered on. However, 16gb *should* be plenty for a long while since my laptop with 4gb still does fine for most tasks.
