VPN into Argentina youtube and you can have it for under $1.50 a month. Once you start the sub, you can go back to US or whatever native servers you use with no difference in service.

Ive had YT Red/Premium since 2018 and it ABSOLUTELY changes how you use the service. Without the annoying ads, you are more comfortable "grazing" on videos which you normally would not watch. Esp true on the the phone where we have exponentially lower attention span.

I just went the VPN way and it WORKS !!

I used Turkey as is cheapest with the inflation ravaging the country there 70% year over year

HERE ARE THE STEPS:

• Make new Gmail Account, can put fake name, mine is "Catch Not"

• Turn on VNP with location Turkey

• Open Icognito Page in BROWSER

• Navigate to YouTube.com

• Sign in with the new email adress

• Click on the menu of the left, find "YouTube Premium" button

• Monthly is $16.99TRY - about $1 a month, or you can sub yearly and get a discount - $169TRY which is about $10 a year

• Click "Try For Free" button

• Will ask for Credit Card - add your regular credit card, or WHATEVER you want to pay with

• I used my every day credit card, and entered my actual name there (or it wont go thru obviously)

• Enter your Expiration Date and 3 digit code from the back of the card

• DO NOT ENTER BILLING ADRESS !!

• It did NOT ask me to put a residential adress on anywhere either.

• Just press pay, and enjoy YouTube Premium for less than $1 a month, and trust me, with the inflation will only get CHEAPER from now on!

Yeah, but that doesn't mean the app stop working. It just they stopped development and distribution. However, you can easily find the apk online. It will continue to work unless Google changes API which may take years for them to do. Vance's still works it's just you not gonna get anymore updates, anyways there's ReVanced that will pickup torch.

The annoying thing is that I would pay $5 a month for no ads. But instead they bundle it with downloading, background play, and YouTube Music which I have no interest in.

I am all about cheap/free programming (going way back to unlooping sat tv cards), but there comes a point where its just not worth the time, esp with kids and a full-time job. Put it in a "time-value of money" way...that $1.50 is worth 45 seconds of my time...but having to update APKs and help each individual relative who is tech-illiterate can take several hours. We arent hacking HP Touchpads anymore LMAO

YTP on IOT devices (smart display, Android TV box, google home mini) along with phones make this the hardest-working $ that I have ever spent. Easily log 50+ hours playtime on my phone alone letting it play in the background. Combined with the other family members who use the sub, no other service can compare.

If you watch YT as a casual, then def go with a client that can bypass ads, or use pi-hole. But the more you use it, the less you mind the cost...and $1.50 is a rounding error. When YT starts eclipsing your use of any other streaming service, then you know you are ready.

YouTube started serving ads in the same address as the video, so for this reason pi-hole is now useless unfortunately.

I used nord vpn set to Argentina but still doesn't work. It just offers me 3 months for free and then charges 15.99
