If you're on the fence about getting one of these, do it. They are so much more convenient than lugging around a 20 lb tank or (4) 1 lb. tanks that are now like $6/ea.

Yes, you can refill 1 lb. canisters. Yes you can do it safely if you're not a moron. Yes it's pretty cheap. Yes I've done it. Yes you'll probably never blow yourself up or get in trouble if you get caught doing it. The 5 pounders are just waaaaay easier to deal with.

I use my 5 lb. for my Weber Q1200 grill and Blackstone Griddle when camping, a harbor freight torch for killing weeds in the yard, my Buddy Heater in the winter when I'm ice fishing.

The whole point is this tanks specialized size, you don't need a 20lb tank for camping grills, for example.

This would be a perfect pairing for something like a Mr buddy heater too, thing blows through 1lb tanks like nothing, but a 20lb is cumbersome.

It's been this price for a couple months....but sure call it a deal, whatever. I just got two 20 lb tanks for about $25 each I'd call that a deal not this.

Where did you find the 20lb tank for $25 each deal?

Ehh, it's $61.95, and missing the gauge... The $10 Prime Savings you're seeing is your $10 credit from doing the watch video, loan book, listen to music and buy $5 item promo last week.

So $12 more and missing the gauge, so still $20+ savings at Costco. Seems a gauge would be pretty useful on this size tank, vs a larger 20 lb one, which a lot of people can kind of gauge by the tank's weight.

We go camping/winter sports year around and this is perfect for our tents. Use these with our Mr Heater.

I'll second others opinions on how useful this size can be. Smaller and much more portable than a 20lb tank. Works very well for camping and ice fishing and much more convenient than multiple 1lb tanks. I got one a couple years ago that doesn't have a gauge and I love it. Yes, a 20-40lb tank at home on your grill is probably better, but you really don't need portability. This is a tank for specialized uses, and it excels at that.

None around me but maybe someone can get lucky if they need one. Lowes has one without gauge for $47.71.

Depending on your area, but just under $5/lb for me to fill up at my local gas station. Much cheaper than tank swapping places.

Edit: checked my receipt and it was $4.29/gallon which is 4.87 lbs. Sorry for the confusion!

I guess you're paying for the odd size, cause that's crazy price for a 5lb tank when 20lb is $32
