Used to like this show when i was a kid.. this sale is happening probably because they just announced it's getting a new anime to the series.. it's CG animation.. which I totally hate but the company who's doing the animation is supposedly really good at doing "CG" anime so we'll see i saw the trailer on YouTube and it doesn't look promising to me since my complaint is they changed vash's look.. and CG of course..

A review from 11 years ago indicates no Japanese audio. Unsure if it's been updated since. I'd bite if I knew it had Japanese audio.

I'm not -too- enthused since they're both changing up the look a lot and they're focusing on the whole vash vs knives thing in the first trailer... which... okay? The real charm was of the Trigun anime was the random shenanigans and the worldbuilding along the way... might be the same mistake as Netflix Bebop focusing on the weird Julia/Vicious Mafia Power Struggle from the outset.

Anyhoo, if they have to go full CG, then I can't quite fault them for changing the look: they'll never win trying to ape the original in CG, since it will just look like a bad copy, so they're better off going for something stylistically different. Pragmatic answer anyway.

But then again all we've seen is a very brief trailer. There's plenty of probably good stuff on the way. Chainsaw Man, S2 Mushuko Tensei... and weirder stuff like S2 Panty & Stocking... Why a S2 of that now? I guess the animators missed it... it was an interesting project to say the least... and we're now apparently getting a S3 of Spice & Wolf, which I cursed for a long time on not getting but it's been... what... by the time we see it it will have been 15 years since the end of S2? I can only hope they don't CG the hell out of that too.

If you liked it as a kid you should check out the brand new trailer for Trigun Stampede.
It's confirmed to be a sequel to the original series, not just a reboot.
