2200 (from non Costco) -2400 (from Costco) is the lowest practical price most Slickdealers would aim for. Amazing price and tv.
I bought mine from Costco in Dec 2022 $2800.

it could cause color degradation, not just image retention.

I calibrate each of my tvs and projectors...I have a 5 year oled with no burn in and yes, I know what to look for.
Lg will and has replaced panels all the way back to 5 years old way out of warranty. Check reddit or even this very thread where someone highlights this...call them if you are having an issue
If you have burn in, it's a defect or you left CNN or fox on too long.
Walk into a best buy and look at display models, no burn in at > 6000 hours accelerated use.
I am at 11k on one tv...no burn in.

Some used to say the last gen of plasma screens back in 2015 didn't have burn-in issues either.
Full stop.
