Ironmaster has everything on their site 10% off. For example, the quick lock 75lb set is down to $782 with free shipping. What's even better is that you can also stack with Police/Fire/Military discounts for an additional 10% off. This brings the dumbbell set down to $703 shipped. This is a good deal considering they rarely have sales.

Did a ton of research before buying adjustable dumbbells. These seems hands down the best quality out of everything out there.

I went with powerblocks since they were cheaper and were actually in stock, but if I were to do it again, I'd strongly consider these. I think you'd have a hard time getting these to break in any way. The screw mechanism is so strong, and best of all, you can treat these like actual dumbbells. Can't do that with anything else out there (plastic parts, awkward sizes, etc).
Ironmasters are solid and well built, but it's a PITA to change weights compared to quick adjustable dumbbells. There are much better options these days, especially if you don't need more then 75-80 lbs.

I like how they show a dude with the most obvious testosterone usage as the model. I've been lifting for 4 years. I'm about halfway in comparison. I've seen people this big at 6-8 years lifting.. let's just say the veins tell us everything. DON'T TAKE SHORT CUTS

been reading that the plastic components are a concern...
Not sure if this is true but I've heard those problems were from buying off Amazon instead of directly off Cores website.
I've had them almost a year without any problems so far. I have never dropped them though, so that would most likely cause problems.

I've owned the ironmasters, power blocks, bowflex.

People saying ironmasters are a pain to change leave me wondering how you change them. I toss them on the stand with the notch up. Unscrew both ends, slap on the side plates at the same time, screw both ends at the same time. Takes like half a minute to change out both dumbbells. The only time I can imagine it taking too long is if you're hell bent on doing drop sets or super sets. Even so, those seconds shouldn't make or break your training session.

Bowflex is annoying because the handles suck, and they are HUGE. Really long. Can't move them around the same as regular dumbbells. Need to baby them.

Powerblocks worked well but the flimsy little plastic support made it annoying to line up. It is the quickest change of them all but really awkward. Try doing goblet squats or overhead lat extensions. You can't support the dumbbell by the side like you can with ironmasters. Additionally you can ONLY put them down one way. Imagine heavy presses and you just wanna drop em, that's a no go for the powerblocks. If they're upside down, ur farked. On ironmasters you literally don't have to worry about that.

Nuobells look good, but I've never tried. I know people have reservations of whether they can be dropped. I drop my ironmasters regularly like one foot up? Doing rows or bench stuff when I'm done I just flop em down.

So yeah, thats my rant. If money is no object, I highly recommend ironmasters. If money is tight then powerblocks is the best option. Nuobells are good if you want heavier weights but realize that ironmastera can hit 90lb with the heavy handles. Hope this helps.

they jacked up the price by 50% and then post a 10% discount . . . that does not make it an SD

These dumbbells feel like the real thing. No wiggle, jiggle, nothing. Just solid.
Good quality and even better customer service.

I've had the dumbbells and bench for approx. ten years, and they are solid. I would def recommend.

Does anyone know if these are similarly awkward to how the bowflex selectech are weirdly long even at lower weight? Image only shows loaded

I love that I can thumb through slickdeals front page and see featured items from sorts of places. Store wide discounts featured on the front page feel counter intuitive to me. It may be only my laziness not wanting to navigate away from here.
I'm pretty sure the majority of Front Page deals are ads, either explicitly from SD or otherwise.

The price on rubberized plates is pretty good. Like $2.20 per pound.
