I own this and it's a decent pc for the price but the m.2 nvme slot is only pciex2 so bandwidth limited to 1800 read and 1700 write using a Samsung 970 evo plus rated at 3400 / 3200. The new TG02 victus uses x4 which supports up to 4GB/s mins 15% overhead. Cpu thermal throttles quick due to undersized stock cooler but there are several cheap replacement heat sinks on Amazon.

Tempted to hold me over. Will this combo drive an Oddyssey G9 32:9 5120x1440 at 120Hz game. I am not banking on 240Hz. But what about at least 60 FPS on Forza 5, Red Redemption?

How did you get Windows 10? It shows Windows 10 in the heading but the specs show that it ships with Windows 11.
I ordered an i5 Pavilion last week and it was Windows 11 and I didn't see how to change it.

The 3060 in my system is a single fan design which runs 8 - 10 degrees hotter than a dual fan 3060. But still well within the allowed thermal spec.

Just download media creation tool for windows 10 and install. The win 11 key is hard coded into the mother and will self activate when online.

Why are you asking about 120 Hz game and then mentions 60fps. You can hit 60 fps if you set it to low/medium.

The nvidia RTX website lists power requirement between 550-600W - this one comes with 400W.. buyer beware

The monitor I have support 120Hz or 240Hz. The 49 inch Samsung G9.
I just want a card/setup that can play 5120x1440/120Hz at respectable 60 fps frame rate. I know it can't run 240Hz with high frame rate.

Simple question. Is this enough or should I go i7 with an RTX 3070ti.

Just so you know with the RYZEN G version you won't get full speed of the RTX cards since G only support up to PCiE 3.0 while the RTX 30 is 4.0

This is non-sense.

This mobo with a strict TDP limit of 65 Watt of 5700G and 170 W RTX 3060 leaves plenty of headroom for peripheral.

120hz is 120 fps. Playing at 60 fps on a 120 hz screen offer almost no advantages over 60hz. You will need at least 3080 rtx if you want 120 fps on the g9 and that on medium/high setting.

Make little to no differences. I own a 3080 on both pci-e 3 and 4.
