I have this too. I've been wanting to upgrade myself, but with my setup and accessories already bought in, I really see no logical reason to. The pull down attachment is great, the capacity is more than I'll ever bench and probably more than 99.99% of anyone on SD.

Been using this for 3 years now and has been tested by garagegymreviews (Coop) if you don't believe me.

I would get the following attachments: pull down, jcups from Amazon, land mine attachment, dip bar attachments. Good to go. No need for the conversion sleeves for the pull down, the mini bars have been holding my cast iron plates well up to 90lbs each side.

Bench appears to be a rebrand of this: https://www.amazon.com/Fitness-Re...4383&psc=1

Both are made by paradigm health and fitness

The rack is the exact same model as the Fitness Reality Super Max 810 XLT. I bought it last year and it's pretty solid for what I do. I was hoping that the lat pulldown attachment goes on sale.

Walmart has a Weider bench for the same price. That one 610 pounds capacity but has more attachments.

I ordered both to see which one is better. I do not need a bench that supports a larger weight and the options on the Weider look great.

If I recall correctly it has 3" spacing. I'm still highly considering this unit from the reviews that I've been digging up.

Do you know the length of the backrest? I see from ProGear, it's claimed to have "full length" backrest so your head will be fully supported. How about the length of the Weider?

I'm not sure of that. Perhaps they have the dimensions on their site specs. I ordered it and it will be about a week before it's delivered.

I have the Fitness Reality branded version of this cage and confirm it has 3" spacing, 2"x2" and 1" holes. I still think the cage is great, but my next cage must have westside spacing.

100% agree with your post - The pull down attachment is worth the money and opens up so may more movements. Add a couple more pulleys and you have a poor mans functional trainer.

I picked up an American Barbell Rotating Solid Pressdown V-Bar, and the Prime Fitness knockoffs from Ali express which have been fantastic and high quality. (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3...4itemAdapt) I haven't used any of my older accessories after getting the knockoffs and pressdown V bar.

If you like MAGs, you'll love the Prime handles. 10/10, would recommend!

Got this for my son and I about a year ago. Held up well, solid enough. Only thing that I don't like is the bar hooks. They are pretty small and can sometimes be hard to hit when fatigued and trying to push out one more rep. I'm going to weld up some better one when I get the time. Not a deal breaker but on,y thing I really don't like.

I got the;
Fitness LAT and Lift Pulley System Gym - Upgraded LAT Pull Down Cable Machine Attachments, Loading Pin, Handle and Tricep Rope, for Biceps Curl, Forearm, Triceps Exercise Home Gym Equipment
From Amazon for $70 and with that we can do pretty much everything we need to

Thanks for all the comments. I'll pull the trigger and buy this one. Have been watching on the balanceFrom one for a long time and from comments there, Fitness Reality is way to go.

Now since this one is the same as FR, I'll just take it.

Is the bench worth a buy? Or better buy the wiener one linked above?

i have used this bench for the past year. i would NOT recommend it.

bench is too high off the ground, feet can't reach the ground to brace and arch back during bench press.

bolt for leg hold down wasn't sized correctly/stripped since day one. tried getting a matching bolt from home depot recently, but it stripped out the threads on the hold down itself. so that's trashed.

save your money, lots of options at this price point that sound better (haven't tried them though, so can't vouch for them). i've sucked it up for the past year but waiting to get a new one when i finally can't stand this one anymore. which is soon.
