I cancelled the trade in like some previous posts suggested, and I tried the trade in again and I got an instant $5 gift card applied to my account and instant 25% off. Thanks to whichever post suggested that.
Now, my only decision was what to order. I don't know much about any of the Echo Shows, but the main thing that I used my echo dot 3 for was to play music sometimes, and I found a youtube video comparing the audio quality of echo show 5 VS 8 VS 10 and the 8 sounded quite a bit better than the 5, the sound was much beefier.
So I chose the Echo Show 8 first gen bundled with the camera and it ended up costing about $25, after my discounts. The show 5 seems so tiny, so I figured if I'm first going to get something, I might as well get something that I might actually have a use for.
I'm going to put my echo show 8 in the kitchen and that should be a good place for it. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the security camera yet, but I'll figure something out eventually.
