I clicked the link that says 25% off with trade in. I selected my old echo dot 3rd gen which says $5 for the trade in. I proceeded to checkout and the total was $16.xx after trade.

25% off did not apply instantly for me for 3 devices. It will be applied after Amazon receive the trade-in device. Sucks.

Some are saying they have to ship the device before getting the credit and some get it instantly

Strange. They've given me a $200 instant trade-in credit on a phone before, but not offering instant credit for my 1st gen echo show. laugh out loud
They do offer a $30 gc and 25% off, but not instant. Dontknow

I love the 7" on my echo refurb from woot. I think it was 2nd gen. I also use a Fire HD 8+ on a Q charge stand that works even better. So I think I can hold out for a better deal.

Do you get the gift card for $5 after you ship the echo dot? It showed $5 for my echo dot but didn't apply to order total.
