Paid $239 last month. Was listed at $499 originally. This thing is definitely heavy duty. The shipping weight is 210 pounds. Definitely need 2 people to move it.
Assembles quite easily with 2 people. Each door has a magnet to keep them closed.
Locking mechanism is bad at least for my unit, but I do not store anything valuable in there. Shelves scratch easily when dragging items. Paint is not scratched off but the black finish gets marked up easily. I don't care as it's garage storage for me, but others may be more picky.

Kind of what I thought too, maybe $299? I got that gladiator deal some time back (price mistake?) at HD for like $80 a cabinet.

I wish this item had the manuals listed online, I am kind of curious how the assembly looks. I've been eyeing up a set of newage cabinets, but for half the price I'm stuck wondering if these would be good enough for my needs. I definitely don't need heavy duty, but some of these lower quality metal cabinets are pure junk. Does anybody have any of these? I know they won't compare to newage, but how do you like them/how was assembly?

Not the point here. You don't see phoney MSRPs for other stuff that are never the sales price, everywhere you go? Of course it's never $800, but if people are happy at $400 and the Harbor Freight competitor is $400, this is a good price.
