Comparing against the native Taco Bell app, it looks like a 20% markup through GrubHub.
"unlimited $0 delivery fee, but here is a $10 service fee".

I removed all my payment provides and methods and attached a new one through Privacy.com with a $1 limit. They can try to charge me lol

Also for buying food I anyways always use Apple Pay which they can't save or use without my presence
GrubHub won't try to charge thru Amazon? I can't find a way to cancel (I never added a credit card) and when i chatted with HELP, they were no help at all and said someone from GrubHub will email me. yeah, right!

Earlier, I had this text on the grubhub subscription page [grubhub.com] -
Quote :
Your payment method will be charged $9.99 plus applicable tax on February 17 2023.
After activating this promo via Amazon Prime, that text is now replaced with this -
Quote :
Your payment method will be charged $9.99 (or the then-current rate) plus applicable tax each month starting one year from the date your trial began.
So, now I don't know when this "free" thing is expiring. Is it one year after Feb 2023, or one year from now?

Wonder if signing up for this through Amazon will eliminate the $10 a month credit from AMEX gold card.
Since it's a $10 statement credit from Amex I doubt it but you never know . . . . will see

When I click to change the payment method, it says:

"Your payment method will be charged $0 plus applicable tax on August 5, 2022."

So it does not show the end date of the free year.
Same for me. I too am not seeing the expiry date of current "free trial" anywhere.

BTW-How is Walmart+?
I've had it since December 2020. So far I've been pretty happy with it - I mainly use it for the free grocery delivery. Had a couple of hiccups with the grocery service but the prices are the same as in-store and their shoppers do a pretty good job with vegetables/meat selection.

If you order something from the website and it's in stock at your local store they will often have Door Dash deliver it same day. Beats the 2 (and often these days 3) day Prime delivery, although I still have Prime.

Hefty price, but a very powerful laxative.

They used to to email coupons atleast once a month that even things out a bit. Make using the 'free membership' worth it.
Yes, all delivery plaltforms (Uber Eats, Doordash, Instacart) are jacking up the prices in their apps. It is so unfair. Firstly, you pay the subscription, then service fee, fuel fee, weird taxes etc. and then you pay higher prices for the same items that are otherwise cheaper in the store. Someone should bring a class action suit against these platforms to make sure they get in line.

Right but it's not transparent. The list price ($21.99) should be the same as what you pay in store ($19.99) and then the 'service charge' should be listed as $3.50. That's transparency. Not hiding that extra 'service fee' in jacking up the prices, and claiming the service fee is only $1.50
In seattle at least, the service charge is from the city or county. I don't disagree with you on the transparency piece generally.

The restaurants set the prices on the platforms so I don't think there's a way to get around the price hike.
