About The Film:
Clandestine army activities threaten the war torn city of Neo-Tokyo when a mysterious child with powerful psychic abilities escapes his prison and inadvertently draws a violent motorcycle gang into a heinous web of experimentation. As a result, a biker with a twisted mind embarks on a path of war, seeking revenge against a society what once called him weak.
Tell that to the companies who did the 4K restoration.
As I've told people before with how things are now, keep physical copies of media that you really enjoy and don't rely of streaming services because before you know it you'll only be able to get edited versions of the movies and music that you loved.
hm too bad the 4k isn't on here

I was surprised by that as well. Usually, the UHD digital offering coincides with the 4K disc releases, which was a year and a half ago for Akira. Neither Vudu nor Itunes has the 4K stream.
I'll bite for $4. I owned the Blu Ray and recently got rid of all my physical media, so this is a great cheap add to the digital collection. Pretty sure I'm up to 700 movies and 40 TV series at this point!

I own the 4K that was recently released on disc and it looks incredible.
I can't do dubbed I need to listen to this movie in the original language with subtitles sorry.
If this was Japanese with subtitles I would definitely bite for $5, well worth it.

Itunes has both subbed and dubbed, offered separately of course, at higher prices ... and Itunes has them listed under TV Shows for some reason.
Just claim any movie on VIP Plus and the code works for any movie on VUDU.

Although it might be a waste to use it on this one since it's only $3.99.
