Yes, but the 6800u or 6850u would have 8 as opposed to 6 cores and a better igpu. Still a good chip though and much less power hungry than Intel's 12th gen.

The Z is basically a flagship ThinkPad with Ryzen. They can't or won't put Ryzen in the X1 Carbon because that's an Intel Evo design (I could be wrong but I think they have agreements with Intel that makes those designs Intel-exclusive), so they designed a different, maybe less stodgy-looking chassis, for the Ryzen-based flagship. Think of the Z as standing for Zen (Ryzen architecture) and Gen Z, as this is definitely targeted more toward a younger generation, not for corporations to purchase by the thousands like traditional ThinkPads.

Theoretically this one is supposed to be more reliable as thinkpads are known for their durability. However, the Z series is brand new so that remains to be seen. Additionally, AMD PRO processors have added features that businesses can use to manage the device. Also:
- brighter screen (400 nits)
- 2 USB 4 ports instead of 1
- no HDMI or USB A
- has trackpoint cursor knob

I went with the Thinkbook you posted, bought it yesterday.

Refurb MBA M1 or MB 14 are the way to go imo. M2 does not seem worth it at all​
