I have the Charge 4 which has an altimeter. The 5 is slightly thinner with a high pixel color screen, but they no longer have the altimeter so it does not count stairs/floors which is important to me.

Not true. Stop making things up. They're releasing new trackers along with the Google watch. I know a ton of people that work at Fitbit. They're headquartered in San Diego.

Yep, they match Costco. I have confirmed with the live chat customer service. But for secure, better to ask for individual item specifically.

I don't have this, but it appears to have good battery life compared to some of the less-fitness focused smartwatches out there.

Unfortunately, it does not support music so anyone wanting to have an all-in-one jogging solution may be disappointed in that respect.

I've heard complaints that the newer Fitbits have put some core features behind a subscription that used to be free in stuff like the Inspire 2, which I currently use. Can anyone comment on this? Is the non-sub offering with the Charge 5 worth ditching an Inspire 2?

I think all the non-sub features you get in the inspire 2 will be available without a sub with the charge 5 as well.

I have an inspire 2 with sub and my wife has a charge 4 without one, and the additional insights I get are the stress management score breakdown, some additional sleep stats, and the daily readiness score plus all the meals/fitness workouts stuff

I'm still running a charge 2 and have the same problem. Someone mentioned in another thread that you only get 7 days of your data without premium.

What's more, devices like mi band 6 have apparently caught up a lot and their main weakness - the software - has been mostly addressed by 3rd party apps.

Fitbit is supposedly still king for sleep tracking but even their sleep stages are still a loose estimate so I'm not sure that's worth such a high premium to me anymore.

Thanks, super helpful to know. It's the #1 feature I'm looking for (my old garmin and fitbits had an altimeter but were very unreliable ... an iPhone has been the most accurate measurement tool I've come across).
How accurate is it on the Charge 4? Do you know of any other trackers with a decent altimeter?

I paid $120 at sams about 4 months ago. Switched from an apple watch. It's great. I wear it 24/7 and just charge it once or twice a week while getting ready/showering.

Has all the health features I care about, plus ecg/afib, and text notifications. I don't need "apps" on my watch, I have my phone for that.
