These power companies must vary wildly.
Mine says:
Device purchased on or between:
06/01/2021 - 05/31/2026

For example, for my zipcode 22031, you just need to have bought after 1/1/2022 and registered for the rebate within 90 days of purchase.

Eligible equipment must be installed in a home with Massachusetts residential electric service from National Grid, Eversource, Unitil or Cape Light Compact. Rebate is valid only for equipment installation made by licensed contractors. Only original applications will be accepted. Work is subject to post-installation verification. Additional restrictions may apply, and the program is subject to change without notice.

I see the rebate is upto $100 but the thermostat itself is only around $41. Wonder if we can buy two or buy the echo+thermostat combo?

Just make sure that you know what you're signing up for with these rebates. All of them that I've seen make you agree to let the power company control your thermostat. It's not a big deal most of the time but on days when it's really hot/cold, you may find that you can't get your house as cool/warm as you'd like.

Exactly! You are right, did everyone forget what happened in Texas last winter? Google it.
