Will these work as motion/temperature sensors to integrate with Google Home and Hue lights? I don't have an Ecobee thermostat, but it would be nice to have temp monitoring and motion sensing for lights in a couple more rooms.

I have so many of the old sensors. Are they really worth the upgrade. I'd have to get 6 at a minimum

I'm pretty sure it won't. These things connect to ecobee thermostats and (I think) don't actually go over Wi-Fi.

They will integrate through SmartThings. You can then use virtual switches for other integration. You do not need to have a physical hub.

Was about to pull the trigger on the thermostat but figured to wait.. What are the chances of ecobee going on sale for Prime day on the 12th - 13th?

How do these connect to the tstat.

I've used Google sensors with my nest and they barely reach the next room. Weak signals. Looking for a smart tstat with better sensors.

Most utility companies give rebates. I just purchased the ecobee premium with -$100 savings from National Grid.

these are quite the rip off, even at $79.... yeah, I get they are 'ecobee' but they should be $30-35 each (giving a premium for the ecobee name) max at regular price. I own over 100 home automation devices and good quality zigbee temp & motion sensors like this are $20-25 all day long.
