You can a certified refurbished from Acer eBay store for $185. They are like new and come with 90-day Acer warranty and 2 years of eBay AllState warranty. I would go with the Acer one to save money and plus better warranty.

Did you bother to read what I said? Acer ones are new to but boxed as certified refurbished. It's cheaper and comes with better warranty coverage

Obviously, it's advertised as certified refursbihed, so it will make sense to say "like-new" lol. But from my and other SD members' experience I can assure they are "new" just boxed in a brown box. I shared the listing for others to have options and choices. Apparently, you prefer the new new unit, I can't blame you for it. We perceive value differently - ain't nothing wrong with either optioins.

So in the acer ebay store there's a $25 discount after you add to the cart. I have bought a bunch of acer recertified Chromebooks from the acer store and every single one looks brand new. The thought is that acer sells the new ones as recertified so they don't undercut the retailers with a price match.

Edit: in my experience that is a better deal. very tempted on this one.

I was going to pick up an iPad for web surfing/online streaming, but this seems to be a better deal as it's a convertible.

Can this handle Roblox? Might give this to my 7 years old.

This is my experience too. Prefer Acer refurbished units for better price and better warranty. On point btw, Acer can't sell these units as new to avoid undercutting the retailers.

Bought this one month ago. Has a fan. Build quality is great; performance is average. Sold as "refurbished" but looks as good as new and came in a generic brown box. 2 yr warranty, less than $200 delivered with tax, makes this a no-brainer if you're looking for a mid range, quality chromebook!
