To be clear, I don't have this exact product so I can't comment on the quality, I'm just an advocate for this style.

I wasn't going to buy this, but listening to my kids make noise for the past 3 hours and I'm in for 1.
Here's an example of the LG, similar price:

The retractable headphones were a huge plus in an office environment. I could leave the headphones under my collar and it wasn't visible when I wasn't using it.
The AKGs may be better quality, maybe not. The pricing is suspect. You can see there have been previous sponsored deals on this model that didn't get any traction. I'm only planning to use them in the house and maybe at the gym occasionally. If I was getting this for anything else I would want it to be retracting.
I would prefer the earbuds most of the time. But if you're flying, the earbuds are easily fall off and you'll have a very hard time finding them or picking them up between the cramped airplane seats (that has happed to me). So these are much better choice for flying. The over the ear ones are better with sound quality and better noice cancellation but they're big and heavy. Wearing in a long flight can make your ears sweat. I have the JBL version of this and I love it when flying.

Also, if the tiny little wires you pull down on didn't break, I thought for sure the flexible plastic (?) frame would after years of flexing while taking them on and off.....but nope, they are just as good as the day I got them, used. I ended up not getting the ones in the OP (don't like buying old technology brand new, didn't realize they were released in 2019). I'll probably look into a newer version of the LG. Aloha!
