I get exactly that price too. I'm thinking that's because I've previously used a similar promotion and gotten that price some time ago.

Looks like this works with Alex and Google but can I remove the Kasa app after initial setup? I would just like to control it with Google/Alexa without Kasa installed

Same thing happened to me. Showed as $3.49 on my Echo show, but in my cart, it applied my $12.50 promo credit, which took precedence over the Smart Plug promo credit in card. I cancelled that order, spent my $12.50 promo credit on something else, and then re-did the order for the Smart Plug Mini and it went through fine for $3.49 + tax after that.

If you don't want to use your existing promo credit yet, you could always buy something with it that you don't plan to actually get, then order the Kasa Smart Plug, then go back and cancel the first order you placed that used your original promo credit so that credit gets put back on your account. Just gotta be quick so it doesn't too far along in processing and you get stuck having to do an actual return instead of a cancellation.

Weird, Alexa tells me it's $3.49 and it added to my cart, but when I check out it's applying $22.99 from my promo credits from gift card purchases yesterday rather than the special Alexa pricing so I cancelled it. Luckily it refunded my promo credits. I would have been super p*ssed if it hadn't.

Yeah it did the same to me with the Alexa Mini Plug promo credits being automaticly combined with a Prime Day Promo with no way to undo that. I had to purchase something else anyway so I just did that first so that my other Promo Credits were used on that other order then submitted a separate order for the Alexa Mini Plug for $3.49.

Yeah I also just struggled having to use my promo credit before doing it. Thankfully I needed to reorder a couple things that hit $12 perfectly, so I only lost about 50 cents of it.

Alexia told me it was $3.49. When I check out, it used my credit ($12.50) then the remaining amount was removed. So, it was $12.50 instead of $3.49. Had to cancel.

Just open the Amazon app on your smartphone and use the built-in Alexa voice search option and say "Alexa, order Kasa Smart Plug Mini".
Discount will apply.

Snagged the Echo Dot deal with 6 mo Amazon music for free, so this was a no brainer..easy to order using Alexa too!

Yes! That's what it was! After spending the promotional credit on something else, I was able to get this plug for $3.49. Not that I need it haha Big Grin

but for this price, I'll let it sit in the drawer until I have a use case for another smart plug.
