Without a heatsink is $119 if your motherboard has one.

Man that's a good deal. Ordered two more and trying to get newegg to price match a third I just purchased last week. Bet they won't since it's a prime deal so may return.

Anyone know if I can put one of these in an Xbox series X? I read the heatsink model doesn't fit.

For people who don't have Prime Newegg has a 1TB Corsair drive (Corsair MP600 PRO LPX) that actually performs better for less money right now.

I would go for the SN850 2TB over this considering it is $180 right now for Prime members

Can you expand on the better performance please? Deciding if the $10 price difference is worth it.

It's a newer design and faster in every aspect. Not that it really matters since the vast majority won't utilize the full speed of either drive right now. For PS5 use it won't matter at all since they both exceed the 6,500 MB/sec speed PS5 expansion drives top out at (I use the Samsung in my PS5). I just noticed it's also that price on Amazon.

Okay thanks. First time doing this and trying to make sure I do it right. I was able to find online that my Gigabyte G5 KD has a gen 4 slot, so this would be useful for that as well. I think I will get the Corsair.

I read the review at Techradar which says "it leads the pack of almost every consumer SSD we've tested except for the Samsung 980 Pro, which maintains a roughly 10% lead.". So when you say it performs better, by what metric?

From the same review you referenced:

"MP600 Pro LPX lands 7,364MB/s and 6,870MB/s, respectively. That's faster than the WD_Black SN850 and the Samsung 980 Pro SSDs. Heck, those speeds are faster than Corsair has advertised the drive as running."

"The Corsair MP600 Pro LPX may beat the Samsung 980 Pro on a few counts and keep up with it in other respects, it's not such a staggering victory that we'd recommend replacing such a good drive just to get the uplift available here, especially when opportunities to take advantage of all the speed are still rare."

Here are a couple more that show a bigger difference:

I'm not saying it's a huge upgrade or that anyone will actually notice the differences between them in usage, but it is a newer drive with better tech behind it.

Any good PCIe to NVMe adapters? My computer has PCIe 3.0 I guess. Does it worth going with this SSD?
