I will give you one example of what I have. This one here on eBay [ebay.com] and Samsung Tab S7 Fe for about $200 or less once it goes on Sale will do perfect for me. The Acer Spin 514 is about $160 after 12% automatic coupon. It has excellent build quality, typing on it is fantastic, touchpad is glass and smooth. The performance is also great with battery life about 12-14 hours at 40-50% screen brightness. It's fanless and only weights about 2.65lb.
Agree on the hinges. We haven't had a 2-in-1 but have had all of our chromebook failures related to hinges even without the ability to flip around.
