This seems like a great deal.
I think the 6x Sapphire is the same as the 6x pro with sapphire screen?
The Fenix 7x sapphire is $999 so this is $500 less and missing solar and flashlight on the side, touch screen, etc.
Not sure those additional features are worth double.

Didn't this release in 2019? I'm hesitant to drop half a grand on three year old technology. Not only because it may lack in features compared to newer models but isn't there a risk of soon losing updates/support?

Garmin is still doing updates on the Fenix 6 this year. If you don't want to spend $999 get this. https://www8.garmin.com/support/d...p?id=15167

I use this exact model exclusively. The sapphire is key. So far battery has held up in all my ultras (longest being 30hrs). This is overkill unless you are doing ultras. Forerunner series is much lighter.

I'm still using a Fenix 3 HR, a device that was released in 2015. Unlike cellphones, there is no degradation in performance over time. The Garmin Fenix line is the gold standard of fitness watches imho. While my watch is built like a tank and looks like it too, I'm in no rush to upgrade.

I'll wait for the Fenix 7x Sapphire to go down in price just because I want that flashlight function. lol

The gamestop deal i think is still the best bang for buck for the regular fenix 6 at $220.

I got a brand new 3HR as a warranty replacement last year and I couldn't get $50 on Craigslist. Six months. In a big city.

I was shopping for fenix 3 back in 2018 and ended up buying a fenix 5x plus saphhire.
I'm such a big fan since then that i own fenix 6 and 7x sapphire solar.
I don't think i will ever buy any other watch in my life.
P.S I'm a runner.

I'm interested in the Fenix, but I find it hard to pay $500 for a smartwatch that doesn't have a touchscreen. Am I the only one that feels this way? Which watch is decently priced but still has a touchscreen?

Same boat as you. Still on 3HR. Hopefully next year they'll have deals for the 7 series.

What's the hr monitor like on these? I have a Fenix 5 sapphire, and I'll wear it playing hockey and come off a shift where my heart is practically jumping out of my chest and it shows a hr of 85. Not sure if it's from sweat and contact maybe, but it's not accurate at all

I see some hr inaccuracies during workouts on mine too on occasion. Usually tightening the watch band, a notch or two fixes it, for me at least.

These are very big. I have large wrists and the X was too heavy. The pro is still large but much more wearable.

I still receive updates for my Vivoactive 3 - have had it for a few years I think...

The coros watches are better extremely good battery life but overshadowed by overpriced watches from Garmin.
