It depends. It does have a media stand so you can use your iPad to watch workout videos. It also elevates the dumbbells so theoretically it will help prevent back injuries. I purchased it to make my home gym look clean.
Love the weights and also have the stand. Weights were $300 back in November and cheapest since Covid is about $300. The stand has also never really dipped below $120-150 so overall this is a great deal.

One thing I've experienced: the grips are rubber and not sealed onto the handle, so the dumbbells can can spin a little or rotate while you carry heavier weights. An example is, you're taking 50 lbs for chest presses and remove them from the rack, during your lift the weights spin, and now when placing them immediately back onto the rack, the dumbbell will not be in the same position to slide back into its slot. The spin is not crazy and I can usually finesse these back in with no problem but it's worth mentioning as other dumbbells do not 'spin' when in use.

How useful is the stand really? I mean I imagine they're pretty durable, being dumbells and all?

Not needed I left the 90lb ones on the ground and used them a ton. Just don't drop them.

I've got the 90s and while the stand isn't exactly necessary, I've used them without the stand and with the stand, and the stand definitely makes life easier and I'd say is worth the money.

The stand also forces you to lift the weights back on the rack. Get a good shoulder pump racking 90# with one arm.

I bought these at the Costco while they had the discount and I couldn't imagine using these without the stand. Someone mentioned preventing back injury and I could easily see it, but for me it would be because the plates can stick to the plastic tray the dumbbells are held in. I used them for about a week without the stand since I was just too lazy to build them and that tray sticking was the most annoying thing

Own these, they're great. Stand is really nice addition, at least for me.

For reference these sell on offer up in my area typically for $300ish without stand, and $350-400 with stand.

the stand is worth it, especially if your form is bad picking the weights up off the floor
