That is sad the someone returned and stole the wifi , The Wi-Fi card is worth around $15~$20.
contact the seller Acer to see any help, or you have to return and rebuy (the 12% discount is gone now, $12 more than $88 now)
Thanks for posting the photo, here's what mine looks like. I see the problem now, the WLAN card is in fact missing. Also one of the 4 screws holding the motherboard was loose rattling inside the case. Apparently there is zero QC in Acer Refurbishing. Such a shame, I really wanted to like this little machine.

Thanks! Argh so torn. I have a system that pulls about 20 watts that I want to replace but I read another SDer post this draws around 15W. Also read this has a half height PCIE slot so need to find a bracket if I want to move my network card over…..

Do you know if the motherboard in this can be mounted in an ATX or ITX case?

You don't need to have multiple ports NIC card. The build-in NIC support vlan. You can assign whatever multiple VLANs to one port and trunk to a switch to separate them out

You mean you have actually been running Xpenology loaded on to the hard drive not just USB booting the RedPill DSM7 loader? Which model did you boot / install ? Ds918+, ds3622xs, ds3617 etc?

I just heard back from Acer, they refuse to exchange or send me the missing M.2 WLAN card. Only return.

I ordered another one. Will run a complete diagnostic on both systems first to see what's what.
Hopefully I can put together one good, complete system from the 2 and return the the other bucket of bolts.

In the meantime, I already ordered a M.2 WLAN card on eBay for $4 to make the 1st system complete.

Thanks for the tip. I wanted to add the other nic to play around with bonding.

The original WLAN-Bluetooth Combo card has Wi-Fi 6 and BT 5.2

Wow thanks! For the update.. is this DSM 7.1 42661 update 3? Is it working well the only sad thing is only 2 sata port I wonder if we can add a sata expansion card and connect more HDD but then powering them will be issue. Never the less for 90$ and low power NAS and if Xpenology works on it well nothing like it πŸ‘Œ

also isn't the boot loader not SynoBoot now but RedPill TCRP..?
