Great price - everyone else is selling these at $600 right now. Also, the 1030 Plus was dropped to $450 for a period of time when the 1040 ($600) and 1040 Solar (a whopping $750) were introduced back in June, I believe... well, the 1030 Plus is now back up to $600. If you're familiar with Garmin retailer pricing, then you know discounts can be hard to come by on their head units. Also, if you read DC Rainmaker's review on this as well as the new $600 1040, then you'll know that the 1030 + and 1040 have very little to differentiate them (although the 1040 does have upgraded GPS accuracy, but not much more).
