What is "High-Resolution audio support"? I am old so my ears no longer support standard resolution audio so ............ I wonder if this may overload my hearing?

I bought the 2.1 version from Best Buy for my dad's house-warming party 3 weeks ago on-sale for $129 - the subwoofer is exactly same as this one. From the subwoofer standpoint, it's very UNDERWHELMING - even putting Bass on Max, it sounded like a subwoofer didn't even exist. I prayed after set-up, that my dad wouldn't say anything negative (cuz he told me he wanted lots of "oomph"). For reference, I got for my sister 2 X-mas ago, a $69 Insignia soundbar + subwoofer combo, and that has WAAAAY more bass - that thing literally shakes my sister's entire house when cranked up.

I got that one from Best buy too. Agree Bass is not as thumping on both.. but this one's center channel really does bring a lot more volume compared to the 2.1
