the title is misleading, as there is no indication if it is indeed refurbed directly by Sony

Got azule (green) one. Easier to find if dropped. I have Sony headphones 5 years old and still great, 12 hours play , this one has about 14 hours I found from reviews.

refurbished means many thing and most often it does not mean used. they may be open box items that were never used. they maybe quality testing units (Again not used), damaged items or damaged packaging (Again not used). Plus with earbuds the plastic covers on them are replaced as part of the refurbishing process.

I run at pretty high speeds and they seem to stay firmly in my ears. Try them out for yourself. Everyone's ears are slightly different. Free return shipping if they don't work out.

I'd look for earbuds with fins. Unless you get earbuds similar to the curvature of the airpod pro's, the tips alone won't give a snug fit.

I'm curious as well, since $30 is at or below my "aw, what the hell" threshold. 4.4 stars on 380 reviews at Best Buy, 4.5 with a ton of Amazon reviews, both with prices around $100 new. At Amazon, I look at the total of 4+5 star reviews as a quick way to initially screen in or out a potential purchase. 71%+15% for a total of 86, which is generally quite favorable, and 4% 1-star.

I have no real idea how these compare to higher-end Sony's, which are excellent, or competitors in this price range or in the price range of these when new. But they might be worth a shot.

Edit: No ANC or passthrough/ambient, so I'll pass. There is conflicting info out there, so I thought they had ANC. At $100 (new) it is not unreasonable to expect these things, IMHO. Not that I'm ready to pay that, btu I think I can do better than these.
