FYI for anyone who has a current wells fargo credit card - for most of their older cards you can do a product change over to this card instead. I just did this so I can move away from my old 1% cash back card to upgrade to this. You don't get the sign up bonus but all of your credit limit, age of account and all transfers over with it.

Here's my plan. My local utilities allow extra payment. 500 to electricity, 500 to water, 500 to etc and set up the CC to pay monthly to finish before APR is up and free 300 dollars
in fact i've got medical bills anyway

Is this a good deal if I have $1,500 to spend in first 3 months?
it's... fine I guess?
There's bigger bonuses for bigger spends out there, and smaller ones for smaller spends (several $200 for $500 spend ones for example, and quite a few $500-$800 for 3-5k spend ones)--- and for folks who travel much those bonuses can be worth several times more via point transfers.
The 3x on the various categories is also kind of ok, but you can usually do as well or often better than that on other cards (again even moreso for folks who travel).

just waiting for the next Chase Sapphire bonus to happen
Can you transfer points out to travel partners with this card?
Nope... that's primarily a thing for Amex/Chase/Citi (and more recently Cap One) plus some specific hotel programs where it's usually not worth actually doing anymore.... (which is a shame, once upon a time there were some great options here, esp the Marriott hotel+air packages they heavily devalued in 2018 and finally killed off entirely near start of this year)
Any chance I can get this card if I just got the active cash card?
It all depends on when you got " Active Cash Card" & if you Have a relationship with Wells Fargo; Meaning if u Bank with them. To many back to back inquiries makes you high risk & it seems like greed or in need Capital to creditors, so if you open it within the last month just be patient safest is 6 months but 3 month if you have a relationship with WF and don't open a lot of cards within past 6-24 months. then do a pre-approval & pray
Wells Fargo has an internal score rating and look at your previous inquiries when deciding on your credit limit history is a big factor for them as well so over 4-6 year & when you bank with them is when they become generous with Credit Limit
What is that? Buying gift card you'll use later or something?
Lol don't feed into it, but ya … banks are well aware that ppl buy lucrative goods and incentives to meet bonus, just like u mention = Manufacturing Spending / But if you have bills & stuff your already was naturally gunna pay … it's a No Brainer to open up a credit card to met that bonus, just choose the right one for you!
Basically, Cash redemption value as in Credit
… tho. Be aware.. it's not going to be liquid-able as in physical cash u gotta jump to loop hole for that. But yes 300 dollars
